Fixed assets are the backbone of every public sector institution from buildings and transport fleets to ICT infrastructure and specialized equipment. They represent not only significant financial investments but also the very tools through which governments and institutions deliver essential services to citizens.
In many public organizations, fixed asset management remains a major challenge. Poor visibility of assets, lack of proper tracking systems, ghost assets, inadequate valuation practices, and non-compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/IPSAS) have led to inefficiencies, financial losses, audit queries, and in some cases, reputational damage.
